New ITA Public Program : Parallel Narratives
In collaboration with Railyard Apothecary, In Tandem Arts has created Parallel Narratives, a new public program. Beginning in mid-February, the 6-part workshop will enroll 12 participants in this deep narrative intensive. We intend to offer the program 4 times a year and look forward to bringing in the new year with this pilot.
“Explore the art of storytelling in this six-week creative workshop. Taking control of our life stories, we will draw from folktales, fairytales, popular media and metaphor to craft empowering Parallel Narratives. With mindful facilitation from performing artists, Trish Denton and Pamela Formica, we will guide the group through a tradition of oral storytelling to narrate our own histories. Be prepared to listen, speak up, move your body and experiment with elaboration through collaboration. For our final class, we will have an informal storytelling performance for family and friends.”
The workshop is designed by Trish Denton and will be co-facilitated with Burlington-based playwright, performer and healer, Pamela Formica. More information and enrollment options can be found here.
