How does Applied Theater apply to ITA?
Much of the creative format facilitated by In Tandem Arts is influenced by Applied Theater. Applied Theater encourages inquiry about a stopping block or issue. It employs a practice of questioning, discussing, and addressing an issue,

Participants come together to use various techniques such as role-playing, improvisation, tableaux work, Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed techniques, and other interactive methods in order to inspire dialogue, foster education, and enact change.”
